Year 13 celebrated their A Level results on Thursday 17th August with friends, family and staff. We are exceptionally pleased to announce that this year’s results are the best on record and are above all National averages in all headlines and puts as one of the best Essex comprehensive schools.

This year has had many stories of individual student success and here is a small selection of our highest achieving students:

Morwenna Gibbs who achieved A*A*A*A (Economics, Maths, Psychology and Further Maths), Morwenna is completing an apprenticeship at Deloitte.

Lucy Horsnell A*A*A*A (Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths). She will be studying Chemistry at York

Jessica Duffy A*A*A* (English Literature, Government & Politics and Psychology). Jess will be studying English Literature and Language at Oxford University.

Henrietta Dymott A*A*A (Business Studies, Psychology and English Language). She will be taking up employment in PR.

Grace Farrell A*A*A (English Language, Psychology and Graphics). She will be studying Criminology at Sheffield.

Alice Ellerby A*AA (Psychology, Geography and English Literature). Alice will be studying Geography ay Exeter.

Christina Lazell A*AA (Sociology, English Literature and German). Christina will be studying German and Linguistics at Warwick university

Luke Rabey who achieved A*AAA (Maths, Chemistry, Further Maths and Economics), Luke has achieved a place at Accounting and Finance at Warwick university

Harry Mason who achieved A*A*A* A (Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths). Harry will be studying Medicine at UCL

Jacob Reilly who achieved AAAA (Maths, Further Maths, Geography and Physics).

Archie Hewitt who achieved A*AAC (Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Chemistry).

Will Earthy who achieved A*AAA (Maths, Further Maths, Economics and History). He will be studying Economics at Warwick university

Luca Pavoni who achieved A*AA (History, English Literature and Geography). Luca is going on a Gap year before applying to university and hopes to travel Australia.

 

Kelly Sangha who achieved A*AA (Maths, Economics and Further Maths). Kelly will be studying Economics at Bath University.

Charlotte West who achieved A*AA (Maths, Biology and Textiles). Charlotte is going to UCL to study Linguistics.

Carlie Abbott-Imboden achieved A*A*C (PE, Psychology and Biology). Carlie is studying Sports Science at Leeds University.

 

Over a quarter of students achieved a top A* or A grade in their A Levels, this has ranked us in the top 10% of sixth form providers in the UK for student progress.

 

Head of sixth form, Mrs Howells said This year's results are incredible and all the students should be congratulated on the hard work and dedication they have shown towards their studies.
